Purple & White with a Touch of Silver Tablescape

This is a very simple table for a delectable meal of lobster chowder.

The touch of silver is in the charger and the rose candles. The purple glasses were purchased about two years ago. I rarely use them because I find them way too heavy. I like a nice lightweight stemmed glass. But they are beautiful and I do need purple for this table. I used vintage white linen napkins with nice decorative edges.

The centerpiece is a tipped over amethyst vase with dried allium heads and live daisies (leftover from my St.Patrick's bouquet from last week). Wet floral foam holds everything in and keeps the daisies perky.

The background china cabinet holds silver, so it makes a good backdrop for this table.

This is a definite favorite!!! So gorgeous! But I love purple. What a very creative and interesting idea to tip the vase on its side like that! I would never have thought of something so perfect! Now it's not too tall to have a conversation with the person sitting across from you, but it's still lovely. What a wonderful idea. I just love this one!

Susie,
I can't--I bought it from a restaurant! Shhhhhhhhhhh....our secret!!! LOL. No time to cook lately. (I did make a corned beef dinner on Sunday). :)

Dani,
I am so flattered. It's a bit weird thinking of my table on someone's desktop! :)

I love purple and silver together, and this table has just the right touches of both. So pretty. I really love the amethyst glass - I used to collect it, and have a couple of small vintage pieces left.
Thanks for sharing. :) Brenda

Purple is an unusual choice and I love it! The way you combined everything together is interesting. I never would have thought to turn a floral arrangement on its side, learned something new!

So beautifully done. We just don't see anyone using their silver anymore and it is so nice to see. I love the purple with it. Hugs, Marty
