Oh, My, 35 pictures of the Same Tablescape in One Post!

I've been browsing some tablescape blogs and noticing that the amount of pictures people are posting is way more than it used to be. I visited one recently that had over 35 pictures of the same table!

It was a nice table setting, but I lost interest after the first five. They all looked the same. There was no writing prior to each picture to let me know what I should be looking at that was different than the picture above.

I've been noticing this trend for some time and wondered if anyone else has noticed the same. I've always enjoyed the write up almost as much as the pictures. I like to see a sentence or two about what inspired the table, where the dishes came from, how the author came up with the creative centerpiece, etc.

So what do you all think? Love the pics, don't care about the descriptions, or prefer fewer pics and more writing?

different pictures from different angles is best. Very few words.Usually pictures will tell it all

Thanks, Fiesta. Your comment is quite interesting to me. I might be the only person who enjoys commentary!

Being a wordy myself, I must say I enjoy pictures with descriptions. I don't mind lots of pictures as long as they're of different things and angles.

Give me a description with every photo! I love details, if you show be a picture of a beautiful plate, I enjoy the picture, if the narrative tells me the plate belonged to your grandmother, and she used it to serve a special dish every Easter, then the photo comes alive for me. I never post a photo of Facebook without a caption, it just makes things more interesting.

I totally agree that a bit of pertinent commentary helps! I think a lot of people like to know what went into the making of the tablescape. It doesn't have to be "War and Peace", but there should be at least a little information! P.S. - I love it that you have a flower garden! I have a few things to choose from, but mostly have to schlep to the flower shop or order something in:-(

I also enjoy pictures best when they are captioned. A post that is heavy on photos but scarce with descriptions and commentary is really disappointing to me, and I just scroll through and exit.
